The man then grills me on who the cardholder is, I say it’s none of your business and then he says Ok you can go in and we start to wait. Then the man says well can you give me the last four, I say I don’t know but then I find a picture of the card and provide that. This is ridiculous to me, as this was a gift from my fiancé and neither she or I would expect this. I didn’t read the fine print on the confirmation, in fact I didn’t read it al all because I’ve booked about 15 escape the rooms previously and was never asked to provide proof of payment. So I’m frustrated, hot and stressed because I have six people with me out of town and it’s all dependent on this card I don’t have. He presses me about this card and I explain to him it’s impossible to provide this as it’s not with me. When he does the first thing he says is do you have the card you booked the room for? I said no what do you mean? The rooms paid for and I have a confirmation. The man behind the counter is on a long phone call arguing with someone for at least a few minutes before he even acknowledges us. We were here a year before and they didn’t have it running then but explained that they would have it fi圎d. The six of us show up when they open at noon, and to begin with the ac was not running. The room was completely paid for and the only thing we needed to do was show up. My fiancé and I set up the appointment for the shelter room months ago, by credit card to book this room.
Far from it, I would recommend you turn away from this place. Went in considerably nervous and hoping to confront my fears and experience something totally different with my daughter and came out laughing with stories to tell and looking up escape rooms in my hometown to check out with friends. For those really concerned - you are constantly being watched/listened to so if you really need out or if you even just want a couple riddle style clues when you get stumped, just speak up and you got it. Lot's of fun, makes you communicate to get anywhere and you definitely have plenty of laughter along the way. Just go with what you'd do if you were actually stuck there trying to get out! It's not well lit, sometimes (at least one person) will have to get down on their hands and knees, it's definitely not for small children or those Really easily scared.but I'm closely approaching middle aged, not in the best of shape, but Loved this experience. But don't be worried about whether you'll just be standing there not having any clue what to do. I don't want to spoil anything so I can't say too much. Groups can be 2-4, but it was just the two of us. I do get claustrophobic so even the name concerned me but it sounded like a neat idea while in the city for my daughter's college graduation. Wasn't at all sure what to expect of this.
